Usually a duration of at least 6 months and a maximum of 5 years is possible. Since 8 points in Flensburg also lead to doubts about your fitness to drive, you cannot avoid a so-called medical-psychological examination (MPU). You will not be issued a new driving license until you have successfully completed this. The question: "How long is the driver's license gone with 8 points?" Can therefore not be answered across the board.
The authority can request the submission of an MPU report to check the character aptitude to drive a vehicle:
Experience has shown that many who have attracted attention do not change their behavior. So if it is to be expected in the future that abnormalities and thus hazards in road traffic may occur again, the authorities may not retain a driving license or issue a new one.
Experts should find out from the MPU from when and why such anomalies / criminal offenses occurred at all and, if necessary, why such anomalies repeatedly occurred.
* If you cannot clarify the above points on your own, or if you want to secure yourself again, you should seek advice from a reputable and competent advice center. There you can also clarify what you may still have to do for a positive report and what you can expect in the MPU.
